TLR ACCESSORY TIP OF THE WEEK
As a new RTR power boater you have a learning curve you must pass before you completely understand your new model boat. If we could suggest a few items that will make your break in and operation of your RTR much better it would be the following items.

•  TEMPERATURE: A temp gauge to check the temp of your new engine. This will help you know your true temp when breaking in and also after break in. Using a temp gun to check the engines heat is critical for top performance. Never use your ears to say engine is running correct. Over heated engines don't last, and cold engines don't run well. Having a temp gun will help you in getting your engine temp just right for your engine size.
• AFTER RUN OIL: "AFO" is a special oil that protects your engine not only when in storage, but on first start up. We suggest you get a bottle of our Embalming Fluid to help lube your engine and reduce wear and rust from forming on bearing and cranks. Using a good AFO before you start your engine and after you run will increase your motors life.
•  HOT SHOT 2 GLOW IGNITER: Having a hot glowing glow plug is a plus when it comes to quick starts. We suggest the HOT SHOT 2 because it has the best battery and last the longest. Most glow igniter's have a single cell AA battery. This type of glow igniter can run low on power very quick, leaving you with no way to ignite your glow plug.
• CRC CORROSION INHIBITOR: This product is worth its weight in gold. TLR uses it on every boat we race for the best electronics water proofing ever. One can will last you all year. If you don't want jittery servos or a boat that just shuts down from water in radio. we suggest CRC for ultimate protection of your electronics.
• DRIVE SHAFT GREASE: Drive shaft grease does two things for your RTR powerboat. One is it stops water from coming in the boat from drive shaft tube. The other is lubrication of the shaft. Most drive shafts in RTR powerboats turn around 28,000 to 36,000 RPM. You want to make sure you shaft is well lubricated. A shaft with poor lubrication will fail and in most cases destroy your drive shaft. We suggest TLR's Lightening Lube. The stickyist R/C shaft grease on the market. Lighten Lube has an awesome melt down point of 500 degrees. This means when you come in from running hard, you still have grease left in shaft. With most other shaft lubrication, the grease will be gone after a few laps.
